Reflexology is the art and science of applying pressure to the hands, feet, ears or head, aiming to affect physical change there and also elsewhere in the body. Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet, hands, head and ears that correspond to organs and muscle groups of the body. I mostly incorporate foot and ear reflexology. People have been enjoying foot massages for millennia because working the tissues in the feet feels good and, in turn, helps the rest of the body feel better as well. It’s kind of a no-brainer! The techniques used in foot reflexology can help improve circulation in the feet and reduce the risk of neuropathy and other conditions that result when blood flow to the feet is restricted.
